AMIANTIT PRE-QUALIFIES FOR KAIA DESALINATION PLANT PROJECT

Dammam, May 2006: Out of a total of 16 contenders, a consortium headed by Amiantit Group subsidiary AmiWater is among the ten pre-qualifiers for construction of a desalination plant at King Abdulaziz International Airport, Jeddah, which will supply 33,000 cubic meters of water per day.

The other members of the Amiantit consortium are the Gammon Company of India and AES American Engineering Services. AmiWater is an Amiantit Group holding company for a number of internationally renowned subsidiary companies that are among the world‘s leading specialists in consultancy, development, engineering and build, operate and transfer (BOT) for turnkey water infrastructure projects.
