A core business activity of the Group is the ownership and sale of technologies for pipe manufacturing. Amiantit wholly or jointly owns six leading technology companies and has a close relationship with several others, making it a worldwide leader in pipe technology. Key technologies cover Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP), Glass Reinforced Epoxy (GRE), ductile iron, and polymer concrete pipes.
Amiantit Technology Centres
Another key objective of the Group’s ‘Central Engineering Concept’ is to direct R&D developments and plant startups, and to pool the individual companies’ know-how and equipment resources, for the best possible service to Amiantit customers. These technical resources are mainly based in two Amiantit Technology Centres, one in Norway and one in Saudi Arabia.
