Established in 2001 in Johannesburg as a wholly-owned Amiantit subsidiary, Amitech South Africa is the continent’s only genuine integrated pipe systems manufacturer and supplier, and serves a demanding market comprising twenty-one countries. The Company employs both continuous filament winding (Flowtite) and cross helical winding (Vectus) technologies to produce superior quality GRP pipes in diameters ranging from 300 to 1,800 mm and 150 to 2,200 mm respectively. The plant is also equipped with three lines for unplasticized (uPVC) and modified polyvinyl chloride (mPVC) pipes in diameters ranging from 50 to 500 mm. A wide choice of ductile iron pipes, sourced from other Amiantit Group companies, is also available.
